An engineering professor who has also been active for decades as a Christian pastor, Dr. Ronald L. Klaus has taken more than two dozen missionary trips to Africa. Working as part of Hope In View, Inc., he and his wife Carolyn help church leaders learn how to transform individuals and communities holistically in Ethiopia. Ronald Klaus works closely with Ethiopian leaders to instill values of financial sustainability. Emphasizing the theology of the Kingdom of God, he also helps set up small-group discipleship programs.

Dr. Ronald Klaus’s activities in the Church began when he attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and led the Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship on campus. After graduating, he did postdoctoral research in rocket propulsion at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. Dr. Ron Klaus also taught chemical engineering and computer science at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to his current overseas activities, Ron Klaus served in a number of pastorates in the United States and taught at seminaries and a Bible school.
